Gaia was displayed under the spire crossing in Salisbury Cathedral for the duration of Salisbury International Arts Festival. A number of programmed events took place under the artwork, including the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra playing Holst’s The Planets; Harriet Mackenzie leading a glorious, nature-inspired concert with the London Chamber Orchestra including Ralph Vaughan Williams’ The Lark Ascending; and the Festival Chorus performing Alec Roth’s beautiful choral work Earthrise.
Salisbury International Arts Festival is an annual multi-arts festival that delivers over 150 arts events each year, including concerts, comedy, poetry, dance, exhibitions, outdoor spectacles, and commissioned works.
